The Bentley Flying Spur is a four‑door, ultra‑luxury grand‑touring sedan that blends super‑sedan performance with a limousine‑style cabin. It sits at the very top of the Bentley passenger‑car range, aimed at owners who want a driver‑focused luxury car with chauffeur‑grade rear comfort.

Full‑size luxury performance sedan

The Flying Spur is a four‑door saloon about 5.3 metres long, with a wide, imposing stance and a long wheelbase that gives exceptional rear‑legroom. It can officially seat four or five, but the rear is usually configured for two or three passengers in near‑limousine comfort. The design mixes muscular lines with elegant details like the large grille, swept rear quarters, and handcrafted body surfacing.

Powerful W12 and V8 hybrid engines

The current Flying Spur range includes several engine options:

  • 5.95‑litre twin‑turbo W12 producing around 626–650 hp and 900 Nm of torque, giving effortless acceleration and a top speed close to 320–330 km/h.

  • 4.0‑litre twin‑turbo V8 plug‑in hybrid (V8 PHEV) that combines an internal‑combustion engine with an electric motor to deliver about 670–770 hp and strong torque, with electric‑only driving for around 70–80 km on a full charge.

Power is sent through an 8‑speed dual‑clutch automatic and all‑wheel drive, depending on market and trim, enabling 0–100 km/h in roughly 3.5–4.5 seconds depending on tune. Fuel economy is low for a road car (around 10–12 km/l for the petrol W12), but that is secondary to the performance and refinement brief.

Crafted, limousine‑like interior

The cabin is one of the most opulent in the automotive world, with full‑leather or semi‑aniline upholstery, real wood inlays, metal accents, and hand‑stitched detailing. Features typically include heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, a tailored 4‑seat configuration in the rear, advanced climate control, ambient lighting, and multiple rear entertainment screens on ultra‑premium trims like Mulliner and Speed. The boot is around 450–470 litres, which is large enough for a couple of suitcases or a set of golf bags.

Sophisticated ride and handling

Despite its size and weight, the Flying Spur rides on an air‑suspended, adaptive‑damping chassis with 48‑volt active anti‑roll bars (Dynamic Ride) and, on some trims, all‑wheel steering. This setup gives a near‑magic‑carpet ride on uneven roads while still allowing surprisingly sharp handling. The chassis is tuned for fast, stable autobahn or highway cruising and sweeping B‑roads rather than track use.

Ideal for ultra‑luxury buyers

The Bentley Flying Spur suits high‑net‑worth individuals, collectors, and executives who want a top‑level performance sedan for long‑range touring, airport transfers, and special‑occasion driving. It works as both a driver‑spirited grand tourer and a chauffeur‑driven luxury saloon, giving you relentless power, exquisite craftsmanship, and a cabin that feels closer to a private club than a car.
